Attorney Stachtiaris brings a unique perspective to his practice. Embarking on a career in law after a successful career as a business professional, Attorney Stachtiaris’ diverse background sets him apart from other practitioners who have gone directly from college to law school and straight into the practice of law.
Attorney Stachtiaris' practice includes clients who choose the Collaborative Law process as an alternative to the traditional process of litigation. The Collaborative process empowers those involved in a conflict, by letting them keep control of the process and ultimately their own future. Attorney Stachtiaris has been an officer of and is a founding member of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania and was appointed the first Chair of the Collaborative Law Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association. He has also chaired the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and served on the Counsel of the Family Law Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
While Attorney Stachtiaris has a thriving family law litigation practice, he believes the Collaborative and the Mediation processes are better fits for families going through a divorce, managing custody, or needing to address support issues. Attorney Stachtiaris is a trained mediator and brings that training and negotiation skills honed over 30 years to his litigation, collaborative and mediation practice.
Attorney Stachtiaris has taught continuing education classes at the Community College of Allegheny County on Pennsylvania Divorce Law and the Collaborative Process. He is also a continuing legal education instructor for National Business Institute and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
